Prof. Björn Ottersten is appointed in the governing body of the European Research Council (ERC), the Scientific Council. From 1 January 2023, Prof. Ottersten serves as one of the 22 distinguished researchers representing the European scientific community.
Dr. Aakash Arora won the Outstanding PhD Thesis Award by FNR for his thesis “Efficient and Scalable Optimization Algorithms for Multiantenna Signal Processing”
Dr. Domenico Bianculli received the "Distinguished reviewer award" at the 2022 IEEE/ACM Automated Software Engineering (ASE)
The paper “How did the German and other European electricity systems react to the COVID- 19 pandemic?” was nominated 2021 Highly Cited Research Paper by Applied Energy
Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas was appointed a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest technical professional organisation dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
Dr. Olivia Borgue was awarded a Women in Aerospace Europe Grant 2022, and was selected in the ’20 under 35’ list from the Space & Satellite Professionals International organisation
Hanna Marxen won the best reviewer award for her work on the track "E-Government" at 17. Internationale Tagung Wirtschaftsinformatik, 21-23 February, Nürnberg
Dr. Salah Ghamizi won the Excellent Thesis award from the Doctoral School Science and Engineering
Researchers from the FINATRAX group were once again part of the winning team of the 2022 Infrachain Challenge! On November 29 and 30, Infrachain hosted the annual blockchain hackathon, the Infrachain Challenge, sponsored by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Digitalisation.
