Individual Awards

Tegawendé F. Bissyandé

received a Distinguished PC Member award at the 35th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering (Melbourne, Australia).

Björn Ottersten

has received a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) grant from the European Research Council (ERC). The PoC funding will be used to develop a product based on a novel radar system with research associate Dr Hammes and research scientist Dr Shankar.

Thierry Titcheu Chekam

won the FNR Outstanding PhD Thesis award.

Alexandre Saint, Anis Kacem, Kseniya Cherenkova, and Djamila Aouada

won the 2nd place at the SHARP challenge, for proposing and implementing algorithms that can recover 3D textured shapes from partial 3D textured scans. The prize of 2000 Euros has been donated to UNICEF.

Michail Papadakis

has been awarded with the 2020 IEEE CS TCSE Rising Star Award.

Milos Ojdanic

won the Best Student Volunteer Award at the 36th IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance and Evolution (ICSME), 2020

Wazen Shbair, Flaviene Scheidt de Cristo, and Lucian Andrei Trestioreanu

under the leadership of Prof. Radu State, won the first place in the PayID BlockSprint Hackathon, with a privacy solution for the new PayStringSecure system.

Tegawendé F. Bissyandé

has been awarded the prestigious Starting Grant by the European Research Council (ERC) for his project NATURAL. Prof. Bissyandé will receive 1.5 million Euros to conduct research in software repair for five years.
